The Exodus Project is a science fiction novel currently in production. It is set hundred of years into a future where the dominant human society is a theocratic technocracy, founded on the marriage of faith and adaptability. The scientific method applied to faith (namely the cosmological beliefs of the Latter Day Saints) leads to the formation of the Church of Kolob. 

 

Man thrives under this church and the Kolobite States begin to question God's divine plans. The Exodus is ship that would provide humanity with the opportunity to pose the greatest questions to God personally. A generation ship designed to ferry the Kolobite's finest through the stars to meet their maker, without the cumbersome caveat of death.

Not all of humanity are faithful Kolobites however. While the church tries to renegotiate their relationship with God, other faiths are growing, uniting and rallying to avenge the dark deeds upon which the all-powerful Church was built.

 

Amidst this tension a silver, extraterrestrial orb visits the capital of the Kolobite states. Its origins and motive unknown. Their visit with the leaders of the Church is said to be divine providence, however a low rank priest of the temple is beginning to suspect otherwise. The visions he witnessed on that day uncover a truth that could destroy the church and drive him to madness.
